Certified Nursing Assistant Graduate Brian Kraker Receives Award of Distinction

Graduate Receives Award of Distinction

Certified Nursing Assistant Graduate Brian Kraker receives an award of distinction from the Association of California School Administrators Region 8.

The Fremont Union High School District and Sunnyvale School District are part of the De Anza Charter of Region 8 (Santa Clara County) of the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). One of ACSA’s programs is Every Student Succeeding which honors students who exceed expectations and the educators who support them along the way. The purpose of this award is to honor students at all grade levels who have succeeded, against all odds, beyond expectations or simply won the hearts of the administrators and other educators who helped them achieve their goals.

The award ceremony was be held on Wednesday, March 15.  Vice Principal Liz Ambra and teachers Paula Yuhara and Tess Johnsen present the award and share Brian's story with the large audience in attendance.

Each student was presented either by the administrator who had nominated them or members of their school team. It was heartwarming and inspiring to hear the stories of perseverance and effort that have been part of the educational success of these students. The event was full of family and school team members, many of whom commented what a joy and honor it was to recognize these students. Each student received a certificate and this year there was sponsorship from Rotary Sunnyvale who provided each honoree with a gift card from Leigh’s Favorite Books and Cupertino Rotary who provided a Target gift card.

Congratulations to our graduate Brian Kraker, Certified Nursing Assistant.
