FAQ

How old do I have to be to take a citizenship class?

You have to be at least 18 years old.

What text is used in this class?

The textbook used in both the beginning class and the intermediate/advanced one is Citizenship Now, a Guide for Naturalization, Revised Edition, by Aliza Becker.

How can I enroll in a citizenship class?

You must first take a placement test before you can enroll in a citizenship class. Please contact the office to register for the test. (However, this is not necessary for the twice yearly citizenship interview preparation class.)

Can I start a class after the first day?

Unfortunately you cannot start after the first day of class because a placement test is needed. The test is only given before the start of class. You will have to wait until the next quarter.

Where can I get an N-400 form?

You can go www.uscis.gov Select Forms; then select Apply for Citizenship (Form N-400) and download it.
