You can make the difference in a student's life. Become a volunteer tutor!
- Help students improve reading, writing and math skills.
- Provide students with study skills and test-taking strategies.
- Mentor students to bolster self-esteem and encourage learner persistence.
Minimum tutor qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Math tutors must be adept at algebra and geometry
- Patience in good measure
Volunteer Tutors will be required to submit the following:
FUHSD Fingerprint clearance - paid for by FUHSD
A current TB test (paid for by the volunteer; usually around $15.00; test site referral available)
